Gifts from the Kitchen: Rocky Road

18 Dec

The anticipation of Christmas has reached a fevered pitch at our house. I am constantly bombarded with questions like; ” Is it Christmas yet , Mommy?” “Is Christmas tomorrow?” “Can I open just one present, pleeeessssee?”  It’s really cute…for about 5 minutes. After that I just want to stuff cotton in my ears so I don’t have to listen to it.

So, today, in order to escape, I locked myself in the kitchen and refused to come out until all of the neighbor’s Christmas gifts were finished.

That’s right, I blamed it on the neighbor’s. They must be placated so that they overlook our un-mowed grass and the plethora of kids bicycles in the yard.

This year the neighbor’s are getting some homemade Rocky Road. Mmmmm… Chocolate and marshmallows.  It causes blindness to unkempt lawns.

Rocky road is very easy and quick to put together. Throw a few in a wide-mouth mason jar and hand them out to every neighbor you’ve got.

If you don’t particularly like your neighbor, put the candies in a small mouth mason jar.   Muahahahah!!!!
