Foodbuzz Project Food Blog – Meet the Challenger!
17 Sep
Project Food Blog is kicking off this week and I’m pretty stoked about it. “What is Project Food Blog?” you ask. Well, it’s Foodbuzz’s version of Top Chef. They are starting with a few thousand bloggers and whittling them down until only one remains.
There can be only one…. Sorry, Sorry, I couldn’t help it. I love Highlander.
So, I threw my name in the hat and here it is. The first challenge. I have to tell you about me and my blog, and why I’m cool enough to be the next food blogger star. In an interesting way. So here is my best shot.
I love to cook. I live to cook. I would cook all the time if the laundry wouldn’t pile up and lime scale wouldn’t grow in my shower. I cook every meal in our house, sometimes more and I have been known to go to other people’s houses and cook for them too. I’m eternally searching for the one relationship that will trade off my cooking for their cleaning. I haven’t found it yet.
What I have found, is that I love to write about not only the food I cook but my experiences in life. Things everyone can relate to. I like to keep it light. I want you to feel comfortable, to laugh a little, drool over the pictures and then try the food. And when you are done eating you can pat yourself on the back and say, “That was delicious AND it didn’t cost a fortune!”
Being a food lover on a budget can sometimes be difficult, and I am here not only to give the food lover on a budget a meal to eat, but also make it beautiful, easy, and comforting.
So, I implore you to vote for me starting Monday, September 20th to get me to the next round of competition, because great food doesn’t have to be expensive. Great food is attainable on any budget.
Project Food Blog is the first-ever interactive competition where thousands of Foodbuzz Featured Publishers are competing in a series of culinary blogging challenges for the chance to advance and a shot at the ultimate prize: $10,000 and a special feature on Foodbuzz.com for one year. Voting for entries on the first challenge will kick off September 20th, and contestants will be whittled down over the next 12 weeks via exciting challenges related to food blogging.

I am voting for you also – and will add the button to my blog as well… * sigh * I so wish we were neighbors
can't wait for the next challenge to see your sweet face in the mix … keep to yourself and make us proud…
Hi fellow food bloggers!
After attending the foodblogforum last weekend, a couple of us decided it would be great to get together on a regular basis to talk about blogging, what's working, what's not and help each other out. It's a chance for great networking and we'll plan it around a meal. We're planning on having our first meeting Wed. Sept 22 at 10:00 at OK Cafe near I-75 and West Paces Ferry Road. Please let me know if you can come. Hope to see you there!

Short and sweet. You don't have to spend a lot to eat great food is the perfect message, especially during these economic times. Best of luck with PFB!!!
