Stash

This is my stash, or at least part of it. There is more in the kitchen and of course the spare fridge/ freezer. I am quite proud of my stockpile of food and goods. It’s a little embarrassing to admit that, but I am. I have effectively built myself my own mini grocery store in the spare spaces of my house, and it saves me a ton of money. For the last month we have lived almost completely off of our stash. I say “almost” because I did run out of diapers, coffee and toilet paper ( visiting family for T-Day wiped me out). I also have 2 -2 year olds so milk and juice is a must. But for the last 4 weeks, I haven’t spent more than $40 a week on the few odds and ends things that we needed. I could have easily gone another 4 or 5 weeks without any major shopping trips, but there were a lot of deals that I just couldn’t pass up this week, so I broke down and went.
It is nice to know that, I will never have to go to the grocery in order to cook dinner, there is always something to eat, and should the country completely collapse, I could feed my family for at least a few months before we start eyeballing the cats.
